Helene jeans

I have finally finished my #makenine2023! I was very excited to make these jeans, but I absolutely called it when I said ‘don’t be surprised if this is the last of my 9 projects that gets completed!’ Although sewing jeans is just like making anything else but with more steps, there is a lot of preparation involved and this always makes it seem like a big undertaking. It never is though, once you actually get going!

Marty shirt

Well, it finally looks like we might be moving house in the next few weeks, which is the reason my blog has been rather neglected of late! My recently finished shirt is too good not to share though, so I have taken a break from all the decluttering and boring moving admin to dust off my camera and laptop and tell you all about it.

Hopethea Dress

This beautiful and unusual fabric has been in my stash since last summer and I have have been uncharacteristically indecisive about what to make with it. It’s a viscose crinkle cloqué that I bought from The New Craft House and as is the nature of deadstock fabric – once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Nepheline Blouse

In preparation for moving house (if that actually happens), I have been trying to work my way through some fabrics in my stash and not add anything new! I’m dithering a bit about a couple of cuts that I haven’t settled on a pattern for, but this fabric was always going to be this blouse, so it was an obvious project to tick off my list and move from my sewing room to my wardrobe.
