Orchards dress

I can’t remember when I decided to make this dress or that I would use this fabric for it, but it feels like it’s been in the planning for quite some time. Having afternoon tea to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in August seemed like the perfect occasion to wear it, so I added it to my list of things to sew during July (I never like to rush these things!)

Zadie Jumpsuit

The Zadie Jumpsuit pattern was released by Paper Theory in March 2019 and has been a favourite in the sewing community ever since. When I was planning my #MakeNine2022 I had a little browse through the Fold Line’s ‘Top 10 Indie Sewing Patterns of 2021’ – I had already made 6 of the designs but the Zadie was a pattern I hadn’t tried, so I added it to my list.

Forsythe dress

This dress has been a LONG time in the making! I first fell in love with this linen from Merchant and Mills in summer 2019 and then finally convinced myself to buy some last August when I visited Rye with Patsy. I kept my eye out for patterns that would offer opportunities to play with stripes and struck gold with the French Navy Forsythe dress!
