As soon as I saw the Omilie Dress pattern by Merchant and Mills, I added it to my #MakeNine2023 plans immediately. Square neckline? Asymmetric button placket? Gathering? In-seam AND patch pockets? SIGN ME UP!

Orchards Dress #2
I absolutely love my first version of the Vivian Shao Chen Orchards Dress – it’s actually one of my favourite garments I have ever made! I said it would be a pattern I would come back to and I wasn’t wrong.
Studio Tunic
I decided to do another term of pottery classes this year and thought the Sew Liberated Studio Tunic would be the perfect project to bring my two interests together, so I added it to my #makenine2023 plans.
Orchards dress
I can’t remember when I decided to make this dress or that I would use this fabric for it, but it feels like it’s been in the planning for quite some time. Having afternoon tea to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in August seemed like the perfect occasion to wear it, so I added it to my list of things to sew during July (I never like to rush these things!)
Ellsworth shirt
I really fancied sewing myself a Merchant and Mills Ellsworth shirt this summer, but the paper pattern was out of stock everywhere for absolutely ages! Yes I am very aware I could have bought and printed the PDF, but I just like paper patterns, OK?
Zadie Jumpsuit
The Zadie Jumpsuit pattern was released by Paper Theory in March 2019 and has been a favourite in the sewing community ever since. When I was planning my #MakeNine2022 I had a little browse through the Fold Line’s ‘Top 10 Indie Sewing Patterns of 2021’ – I had already made 6 of the designs but the Zadie was a pattern I hadn’t tried, so I added it to my list.
Olya Shirtdress
I made my first Paper Theory Patterns Olya shirtdress in May last year and it is something I reach for in my wardrobe at lot.
Meridian dress
I have seen many, many lovely versions of the Papercut Patterns Meridian dress over the last few years, so I added it to my ‘make nine’ plans for 2021 and popped the pattern on my Christmas list.
Forsythe dress
This dress has been a LONG time in the making! I first fell in love with this linen from Merchant and Mills in summer 2019 and then finally convinced myself to buy some last August when I visited Rye with Patsy. I kept my eye out for patterns that would offer opportunities to play with stripes and struck gold with the French Navy Forsythe dress!
Demeter Dress
I’d had my eye on the Anna Allen Demeter dress ever since I saw tester versions popping up on Instagram after its release in August 2019. I didn’t originally intend to buy it, but I figured as I was still thinking about it over a year later, I probably should!
