Without the need for a ‘professional wardrobe’ now I am no longer working as a primary school teacher, I have been turning my attention to more casual makes. My go-to outfit for pottering about at home is without doubt a pair of dungarees and a Breton.

I was extremely flattered when I Am Patterns approached me and asked if I would like to sew a garment from their new collection ready for the launch, and of course I said yes!

We went apple picking at Castle Farm on Saturday and the beautiful orchards were the perfect backdrop for my latest make!

I don’t often make the same pattern twice. It’s not because I don’t want to – I just rarely remake things because I always have a mile long list of new projects and patterns to try!
